Mary is an accomplished and tenured senior living and healthcare expert. She brings to Gibbins Advisors a wealth of expertise in development, management and operations of senior care properties, accumulated over a 25+ year career within the long-term care and senior living industry.

With an extensive background in operations, turnaround and business development, Mary combines progressive thinking with an action-oriented approach and focus on results, conducting operational assessments and evaluations to define recommendations for a successful turnaround. With a diverse skillset that also encompasses financial management, team leadership, marketing and customer relations, she is renowned for her ability to build positive and collaborative cultures that motivates and enables teams to excel.

Prior to joining Gibbins Advisors, Mary completed engagements as Managing Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Healthcare Management Partners (HMP) / HMP Senior Solutions. During this period, she was responsible for the overall operations and turnaround management for senior living communities, and for those financially distressed facilities where a receiver or Chapter 11 Trustee was appointed.

Mary’s deep knowledge of the senior living sector has been further enhanced through terms in a variety of senior leadership positions at Vitality Senior Living, Renew Senior Living, Provident Resources Group (Senior Living Division), Diversified Health Services/BEP Services, MWH MediCorp and Carriage Hill Nursing Home.

• As Executive Director, Vitality Senior Living, led overall operations of an 85 unit/100 bed assisted living and memory care community. Successfully achieved stabilization and a positive NOI within a year of taking over the community (during COVID-19 epidemic) while working closely with the Sales Director, staff and community to increase occupancy, drive community awareness and foster a positive culture.

• Responsible for the overall operations of assisted living and skilled nursing portfolio as Managing Director - Senior Living Division of Provident Resources Group, with over 500 FTEs located across five states. Managed and directed fiscal operations, served as Compliance Officer and assisted in mediation and risk management, while also developing effective internal communication, customer relations, community marketing and HR recruitment programs.

• Served as SVP/Managing Director of Diversified Health Services/BEP Services, responsible for the operations of 20 owned and/or managed assisted living communities across the Southeast.
